300 series: nickel chrome stainless steel
301: good ductility, used for forming goods. It can be hardened by machining. Good welding. Wear resistance and fatigue strength is better than 304 stainless steel.
302: the corrosion resistance of the same 304, due to the high carbon content is relatively high, so the strength is very good.
303: by adding a small number of sulfur and phosphorus to make it more easy to cut 304.
304: general type; that is, 18/8 stainless steel. GB brand is 0Cr18Ni9.
309: compared with 304 have very good temperature resistance.
316: following the 304, second are the most widely used of steel, mainly for the food industry and surgical equipment, increase the Mo to obtain a special structure corrosion resistant. As a result of the 304 has a very good resistance to chloride corrosion can also be used as a "marine steel" to use. SS316 is generally used for nuclear fuel recovery device. 18/10 grade stainless steel is generally also fit the use level.
321: in addition to the increase in the titanium element to reduce the risk of corrosion of the material welded joint is similar to other functions 304.
400 series: ferrite and martensitic stainless steel type
408: good heat resistance, weak corrosion resistance, 11% of the Cr, 8% of the Ni.
409: the type of sale (Ying Mei), is commonly used as a car exhaust pipe, is a ferritic stainless steel (Ge Gang).
410: martensite (high strength steel), good wear resistance, corrosion resistance is poor.
416: the increase of sulfur to improve the processing function of the data.
420: "cutting class" martensitic steel, similar to Brandt's first high chromium stainless steel this. Also used for surgical tools, can do very bright.
430: ferritic stainless steel, decoration, such as used for car accessories. Outstanding formability, but poor resistance to temperature and corrosion resistance.
440: high strength steel, carbon is slightly higher, by proper heat treatment can obtain higher yield strength, hardness can reach 58HRC, to the most hard stainless steel column. The most common example is the use of a razor blade ".
There are three types of commonly used: 440A, 440B, 440C, and other 440F (easy to process type).
500 Series: heat resistant chromium alloy steel.
600 Series: Martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel.
630: the most commonly used type of deposition hardening stainless steel, generally also called 17:4; 17%Cr, 4%Ni, chrome 18-20.
